The newest edition to the south bank (and our new neighbour) is an ambitious extension of the Tate Modern, a twisting, brick fortress with panoramic views of the city. Costing £260 million, the project has been in development since the mid naughties, offering a 60% increase in space for the increasingly popular gallery.

The ‘Tate Exchange’ will also be housed within, offering a variety of engagement opportunities. Tate Director Nick Serota describes it as “a combination of the Open University, art school, TED talks, and Guardian debates, all wrapped into one”.

We look forward to paying you a visit!
